When Your Furby Gets Sick 🤒

Hasbro's "Sick Furby" fixes

• Reset / restart: If Furby won't respond, remove the batteries, wait a moment, then reinstall them. This is the classic "turn it off and on again."
• New batteries: Use fresh AA batteries of the same brand. Weak or mismatched batteries make a Furby sluggish or "sick."
• Let it "sleep": If it's over-talking or glitchy, set it down, don't interact, and let it cycle to sleep. Cover the light sensor (top of head) to encourage napping.
• Feed it: The manual's playful fix — interact and "feed" it (press the tongue/back sensor) to settle a fussy Furby.
• Clean contacts: Corrosion on the battery contacts is the #1 real-world sickness — see my Care Guide for the fix.
• Reset switch: Some units have a small reset button near the battery compartment — a press can clear a frozen state.

My extra notes (The Furby Queen)

• If it won't power on after a reset, the battery compartment is usually the culprit — clean it (Care Guide §3).
• "Me Sleep Again" loops? Often a dirty tilt sensor — clean with vinegar + microfiber (Care Guide FAQ).
• Still sick after all this? That's a job for my Repair Service — ship it, I diagnose, flat hourly quote.
